My dog has a hard, scabbed sore on his cheek that bleeds and oozes.

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 3 years and 4 months old | 173.5 lbs

My dog came inside with a sore on his right cheek the other day. It’s about the size of a dime and scabbed around the edges. The spot is hard and seems not to cause any pain because he would let me apply pressure to clean. There is no hole or sign of it being a sting from an insect. It tends to bleed and there is a slight bit of puss like substance that just occurred today. Any idea what it could be? I took pictures the first day I noticed to keep as reference.

Hi there and thanks for posting! This lesion looks like a raised mass. It may be an abscess. I would recommend having the mass sampled at your veterinarian's office to determine if it is something of concern or not and if it needs to be removed. I hope this helps and I wish you and Tyson the best!
