My cat has eosinophilic plaque. Is her current treatment enough?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 12 lbs

My cat roxy is diagnosed with eosinophilic plaque.she is adviced certain steroids and antibiotics by your vet .I visited my vet here in India and he has prescribed tab ketocanazole 200mg once a day 1/4tab and cream dermiheal which has gentamycin sulphate betamethasone valerate and clateimazole for one month.my question is whether this treatment will cure my cat roxy.or does she needs antibiotic and steroids.please guide.

Hi there and thank you for posting! Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex sometimes occurs due to an underlying cause such as a flea allergy, other environmental allergy, or a food allergy. Steroids and antibiotics are commonly used as well as trying a hypoallergenic food and getting Roxy on a flea preventative to rule out a flea allergy as the cause.
