My pregnant dog is lethargic, won't eat, and is bleeding. What do I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 8 years and 9 months old | 50 lbs

English Lab, 7 years old, maybe pregnant. Very lethargic, panting, won’t eat or drink, will not get up. Some spotting of blood from vagina. What should I do?

H there and thanks for posting. If Stella is pregnant, then she could be in stage 1 of labor which can last 6-8 hours. However, the not getting up as well as the lethargic and bleeding from the vagina is concerning if she is pregnant. This may be an indication something is wrong with her pups and the pregnancy or she may have pregnancy toxemia. If she isn't pregnant, there is another medical reason behind her symptoms that needs to be addressed by a veterinarian in person. It is hard to say what exactly is going on without examining her first. My best advice is to have her seen right away by a veterinarian or taken to an emergency veterinary clinic.
