My dog won't eat, drinks tons of water, and has a persistent stuffy nose.

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 9 years and 6 months old | 52 lbs

My dog won't eat anything and hes drinking sometimes 32 ounces of water in one sitting.he's had a bad stuffy nose for about 2 weeks now he was on antibiotics for his nose but it didn't get better.when he sneezes hes throwing snots all over the place.can you please tell me what could possibly be wrong with my dog?im worried sick about him.

Hi there and thanks for posting. Oh dear I"m sorry to hear Lucky is not feeling well. It sounds like he has a bad upper respiratory infection that may be bacterial, viral, or maybe fungal. He may need a bacterial culture and a chest x-ray to determine what the type of upper respiratory infection he has and that will help determine what best medication to place Lucky on. This is important to do especially if his symptoms are not getting any better. The drinking a lot of water is also concerning. I would recommend blood work on Lucky to check for endocrine disorders and diabetes that could be causing the increased water intake.
