I am sorry to hear about Demon. It is difficult to evaluate the ear based on a photo alone but from this photo, it looks like Demon may suffer from chronic inflammation of the ear canal/ear infections which has resulted in thickening of the skin inside the ear pinnae and canal. In some cases, this may improve with steroids and antibiotics/treatment of the ear infection or allergies that may have resulted in the condition in the first place. If the area is sore/painful/itchy or the ear has discharge/redness/discomfort then an exam by your vet is recommended, or if they don't offer treatment a second opinion may be considered.
