Pet's info: Cat | Ragdoll | 2 years and 6 months old
Hi, my 2 yrs cat was in heat and at the second day she went to a stag for mating. She was there only 24hrs. she immediately stops being in heat but it is now 25 days later and she doesn't have pink nipples nor any other symptoms but as well she is not in heat. Can she still be pregnant and if not why she is not in heat anymore? thanks

The gestation period is 63 days, so it is still relatively early. I would expect to see signs of pregnancy no earlier than 4 weeks, and certainly I wouldn't attempt a pregnancy scan until at least 4 weeks as it is too difficult to distinguish kittens at earlier stages. So if she has not come into heat again she could certainly be pregnant, I would be patient for another week or two and if there is still no signs or she hasn't come back to heat take her into a vet for an ultrasound scan then you will know for sure. It is possible but relatively rare that she is in a false pregnancy.

You wouldn’t see symptoms if pregnancy this soon. You won’t see symptoms of pregnancy until she is wel in her 2nd trimester (>30 days gestation). And you can detect fetal heartbeats via ultrasound after 25 days gestation. She does seem to have a longer heat cycle, but this is still considered normal. As long as she is otherwise eating, drinking and using the litter box normally she seems to be doing fine. Best of luck to you and take care.

Cats can reach sexual maturity as early as 4 months although 6 months is a little more typical. If you take Kitty to your veterinarian they might be able to feel kittens in the uterus at this point. In another couple of weeks heartbeats can be seen on ultrasound. Around day 45 bones are visible on an x-ray. If she is still showing signs of heat it is less likely that she is pregnant.
