My dog cut his toe. How long for the nail to heal and regrow?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year old

Panda cut his toe on the top by his nail the wound is healing but nail is sitting up.and out slightly he gets a bit sore on the walk but is bright and happy nail isn't showing signs of discoloration but have been told he may loose nail and to keep eye on it for infection how long will it be before its healed he is doing lead walks no running

Poor guy. Most wounds heal within 7-10 days. Delayed healing occurs in older dogs and in cases of active infection. Nails can take several weeks to months to regrow. I hope this helps. Best wishes with Panda and if it is not healing well then a visit to vet is needed to get him started on a good wound management regimen. Take care.
