Royal Canin is a complete, balanced food. It should not be necessary to add other supplements. Adding additional calcium or vitamins could actually be detrimental as it will throw off normal ratios. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach

Royal Canin is an excellent food company. All the diets are balanced for dogs for the specific stage of life. No additional supplements are needed and you can actually cause harm by adding in extra supplements (especially in a large breed dog). My recommendation is to not add any vitamins/supplement - definitely DO NOT add calcium as you will cause growth problems. Here is an article on this subject. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
