My lamb is hobbling. How long does a leg sprain or break take to heal?

My lamb has injured his leg to the point he puts very little pressure on it. He hobbles around mostly on three legs. Its a leg thing not a foot. Looks like a bad sprain or maybe broken. How long will this take typically to self heal. Any estimates? Too expensive to go to vet. Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Female | 60 lbs

Hello, It really depends on whether it's a soft tissue injury (sprain, strain) or a fracture. Bones take 12 weeks to heal when they are stable and strains can take 8-12 weeks. I would try and rest your lamb and keep her from using the leg as much as possible. Best to you and your lamb.
