Help! My has been poisioned with strycnine. His breath is rigid. He barely eats and only drinks little amounts of water. We took him to the vet today and gave him intervenous fluids, he got better but he became worse tonight. This is the second night. He looks like he is dying! He can't sleep. I found him lying on the ground and i couldn't hear his breathing. I thought he was dead but when i called his name he got up. He limps and had so many seizures. He bit my mom, too. What do i do? Help me.

Poor Jimmy I'm so sorry to hear this! Jimmy really could do with being in the hospital on intravenous fluids to keep flushing the poison out of his system. Also he would benefit from drug therapy to prevent seizures and muscle spasms which is the usual cause of death. If it is impossible for you to get him to the vet again tonight all you can do is encourage him to drink as much as possible, and keep light and sound to a minimum so as not to encourage seizuring. I really hope that he pulls through, but he would have the best chance staying in hospital.
