My dog's ear is painful, weeping pus, and she cries. What should I do?

My dog doesn't have a fully formed ear canal, but her ear is painful and weeping what looks like puss just noticed it when stroked her and she cried which is not like her at all. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 10 years and 6 months old | 28 lbs

Poor Cheech. I would recommend a vet visit ASAP. Ear infections can be very painful. The vet may perform a cytology or culture to determine what type of organism is causing the infection.
