My dog vomited, and it smells like chocolate. Is it an emergency?

My dog has been acting weird. hes been vomitting so we figured that maybe he ate something he wasnt supposed to. His vomit smells like chocolate. What do we do?

Poor Fluffy! If his vomit smells like chocolate, I would suspect that he has gotten into chocolate. Chocolate is toxic to dogs, and vomiting is a sign of that toxicity. There can be other more serious chocolate toxicity symptoms including heart failure, seizures, and death. I would take Fluffy into an emergency vet immediately for treatment. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. I hope this helps!
