My cat has a bump on her mouth that popped with pus. What now?

Question

I noticed a small bump along edge of my cat's mouth. Upon further inspection, it came to a head and a small amount of white pus came out, then a pinkish fluid after (I held a clean paper towel to the bump once I noticed). She let me inspect it, is eating fine and such. Any ideas? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 11 years and 6 months old | 8 lbs

If it was small and it is now drained and there is no inflammation present then it is probably fine to just keep an eye on her. If a discharge develops or it becomes warm to the touch or painful, have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as antibiotics are likely going to be needed.
