Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 10 years and 5 months old | 164 lbs
My dog was recently diagnosed with chondrosarcoma of the nose. I am looking into feeding him a healthier, low carb diet and need help with how much protein-fat-carb ratio, and I am aiming to make homemade food, the healthiest I possibly can. I would appreciate any feedback! He is a ten-eleven year old husky mix, but doesn't act his age at all, he's so hyper and happy. He is sixty pounds, maybe a little over.

I'm sorry that Sabbath has a chondrosarcoma on his nose! The problem with homemade diets is that they often are not nutritionally balanced, and the dog doesn't get all the nutrients he needs. If you would like to make a homemade diet, however, there are two websites I will give you that provide recipes for healthy and balanced diets that will provide him all the nutrients he needs. These recipes have been formulated by veterinary nutritionists. Check out these websites. Pet diets has an option for a nutritional consult specific to your dog to meet their needs for their current medical problems. This would enable you to get a low carb diet for him that is nutritionally balanced. I hope this helps! https://secure.balanceit.com https://www.petdiets.com
