The only way to know for sure is to take Mo into the vet. The vet can do a blood test looking for the hormone relaxin which is present when a dog is present. When she is about 45 days in her pregnancy, I would bring her back into the vet for x-rays which will tell you how many puppies she is carrying. I hope this helps!

The best way to tell how far along she is in her pregnancy is to take her into your vet for an exam. The vet can do a blood test looking for the hormone relaxin that is produced at 22 days gestation or later. Further along in her pregnancy, x-rays and an ultrasound can be done to better pinpoint at which point she is at in her gestation. Regular vet care is very important for a pregnant dog, so I would take her into the vet sometime this week for an exam.

Based on those dates, Tara would be about 6 weeks pregnant at this point in time. A dog's gestation length is 58-68 days, with an average of 63 days. Typically you wouldn't see some milk at this stage of gestation, it's still a little early. You would see milk closer to her giving birth, or sometimes not at all. The only way to know for sure if she is pregnant is to have her seen by a your vet. The vet can do x-rays to confirm she is pregnant and can tell you how many puppies she is having. I would have her seen by a vet tomorrow to get x-rays done. I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! She is only 28 days pregnant, so I wouldn't expect her stomach to be too enlarged at this stage. At 28 days pregnant you can schedule an ultrasound to look for puppy heart beats. at 50 days (April 10) you can have your Vet take an X-ray. At that stage of pregnancy the puppies skeletons can be seen. Otherwise there is no way to tell this early. I hope this helps and I wish Angel the best!

The only way you are going to know for sure if she is pregnant is to take her to your vet for an exam and either an x-ray or ultrasound. The only other option is to wait until 63-65 days after breeding to see if she starts whelping. The liquid coming from the vulva is not unusual so it is not diagnostic for pregnancy. For future reference it is not recommended to breed dogs before 18 months of age and with large breed dogs it is recommended to wait until 2 years of age. So, if she is not pregnant I would consider waiting to breed her until she is older. There will be less chance of complications. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! The only way to confirm pregnancy at 30 days is do have an ultrasound performed to check for placentas and fetal heart beats. Otherwise an X-ray can be done around day 50 to see skeletons. I wish you the best!

She certainly looks like she may be. If its has been at least 45 days since the day she likely hooked up with a male dog, then you can certainly confirm this with an x-ray from your vet. Thank you for submitting your question regarding your Trixie. Every dog is different as to when they will start to show. It depends on the dog's size and how big of a litter she is carrying. If she is pregnant, I suspect that she will start to show within the next one to two weeks. You should also see her mammary glands develop. After 28 days of pregnancy, she can see a veterinarian to have her pregnancy confirmed by ultrasound. A puppy count can be done with x-rays after about 45 days of gestation. This is more likely to be due to a real pregnancy. Definitive confirmation can be obtained by your local veterinarian by performing an abdominal ultrasound. From day 36-40 of pregnancy x rays will be diagnostic as well.

Unfortunately you can't tell if this is a real pregnancy or a false pregnancy without an ultrasound at this stage. At 22 days, the fetal heart beats can be detected on an ultrasound. At 45 days, the fetal skeletons can be seen on an x-ray. Depending on the size of the mother and the amount of puppies, the fetuses may be palpated in the final weeks of pregnancy.
