My dog has a blood clot on its paw. What can I do until the vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | 1 year and 7 months old

my dog is having a blood clot between the toes. and dog is licking its paw. firstly i thought its kind of a grooming but when i checked the paw, there was a blood clot beside its nail on back right paw. what can i do before i go to vet. because it is night time and tomorrow is sunday. and i have to wait till monday morning.

It may need to be opened and flushed with sedation by your vet when you get there. In the mean time you can soak it in warm water and see if that helps with the swelling and discharge. If it opens up and drains, don't worry it will be a good thing. You can stop him from licking it also.
