My cat was neutered. How long until his family recognizes his scent?

My cat Batman just got fixed the day before yesterday and when I brought him home my his sister and mother didn't recognize him with his unfamiliar scent so I separated them. How long should they be apart? Will he regain his familiar scent over time? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

It’s not unusual for cats to be “upset” for a few days when one comes home from the veterinarian. Give it some time and likely things will go back to normal. If he is wearing a cone they might not accept him until the cone is gone. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
