My cat had antibiotics twice. Is a third treatment safe this year?

Hello, how many times a year a cat can have an antibiotics treatment? , My cat already had a 10 days antibiotics treatment in July and another one in September, is it safe to have another one? Thanks. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 13 years old

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If antibiotics are warranted then there is no limit to how many times a year an animal can have them. If this is the same infection and it can be cultured then that might be a wise next step. That way the Vet can choose the correct antibiotic and not create resistance.
