Defecating frequency of guinea pig has decreased largely , accompanied with small droppings. What does it mean?(they had not been supplied grass for a day, could it be the reason)

Not having grass for one day is not likely to be the reason, gut stasis could be one of the reasons, if it is the same by tomorrow and the appetite is decreased as well, you will need to take him to the vet to get it treated.
