Puppy ate vitamin C tablet: Will she be okay or get an upset stomach?

My 4lb puppy ate a 1000mg vitamin c tablet. Will this hurt her? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 25 days old | 4 lbs

I'm surprised that Moxxi ate a Vitamin C tablet because they are usually very bitter. Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin, so we don't need to worry about toxicity, but high levels of Vitamin C can irritate the stomach and cause diarrhea. I would be worried that Moxxi may develop some stomach upset from that level of Vitamin C. It would be worthwhile to contact your veterinarian if she starts vomiting or develops diarrhea.
