What could cause my dog to drip bloody urine from his penis, he is panting very heavily, and lethargic. He is a ten year old shitz tzu. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | unneutered | 10 lbs

I would recommend that Gizmo see a vet immediately. Bleeding from the penis can be caused by bleeding/clotting disorders, UTI, urinary bladder stones, trauma to the penis, masses in the bladder, infection of the prostate, among a few other issues. Some of these issues can cause a urinary blockage, which is life-threatening if not addressed quickly.
