My adopted kitten's ears twitch and have dark gunk. Is it earmites?

Hey, I adopted a 4 month old kitten from an SPCA near me here in New Jersey. In her medical history, they’ve told me she’s had earmites before but has been treated for it. Since I’ve brung her home I seen she’s been twitching her ear a lot and has browish/blacking stuff in her ear. What would you suggest?

This could still be earmites although the dark residues from earmites can remain for several weeks after it has been treated successfully. you will want to have it checked by your vet just to make sure.
