No, I would not do this. There are concerns that neem leaves and the oil they contain can be toxic for cats, and it will not cure Misty's fungal infection. Cats often lick off any topical application, so in order to treat fungal infections in cats, oral medications are needed. You should take Misty into the vet to get the correct oral medications to treat her fungal infection.

You may need to do antifungal baths more frequently, as in 2-3 times a week. Lime sulfur dips would also help rid the fungus. There are other oral antifungal medications that may work better, such as ketoconazole. I would discuss these options with Mel's vet. BTW, she is BEAUTIFUL!

Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do from home, especially if medications aren't helping. I would seek out another exam in person and have the vet take a scraping of the fungal site to send to a lab for testing. This can help determine what exactly it is and the best medication to put on it to help. Medicated shampoos and oral medications can also be helpful and may need a few courses to fully resolve the issue. I would definitely keep the affected area cleaned and trimmed/clipped so you can monitor spread and more easily get medications on the affected area. Since that spot in the photo also looks like it may be infected with bacteria (abscessed) in addition, oral antibiotics from your vet is probably another good idea. Until you can get to the vet (which I recommend doing ASAP), keeping the area clean and dry, and keeping Zuzu from scratching at or rubbing it with an Elizabethan (cone) collar (if it doesn't rub on the spot) is best. I have plants with a mealy bugs infestation and would like to treat them with Neem oil. I have found information saying it has been used safely on cats for fleas and ticks, and would like to check that it is okay to spray the plants which my cat sits
At the proper concentration, Neem Oil is generally considered safe. It is not listed as a toxic plant product for pets per the ASPCA Poison Control Center or Pet Poison Helpline. In its undiluted form though, Neem Oil can potentially irritate the skin surface, especially on already-irritated skin, or if left on for more than 24 hours at a time. In addition, if a non-diluted or insufficiently diluted product is used on a pet and the product is consumed, then a pet could exhibit excessive salivation, appetite changes, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. At the dilution rate you described there should be no issues and I think it will be fine to use. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

my kitten is going bald..she was diagnosed with fungal infection .Plz prescibe some medicines for her. How much time it will take to ger rid of this infection?
This can take several weeks to months as the skin and coat need to heal after the fungal infection is resolved. We cannot prescribe medication but you can bathe her in a cat labeled iodine or fungal shampoo twice weekly. Cats are very sensitive to medication so do not use anything on your kitten unless it is specifically labeled as safe for kittens. Check at you pet store and they should be able to help you find a safe shampoo for Misty. I recommend cleaning the bedding also and washing your hands after playing with Misty. Usually as the kitten grows up they have better immunity and they will start to heal the skin on their own too. If after bathing the fungal infection isn't improved then take her to your local veterinarian for treatment. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Misty.

Can Terbinaforce ointment be used to treat yeast infection in kittens ?
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Yeast infections are uncommon in cats. Ring work (fungal infection) might be what you are referring to. Has Candy been diagnosed by a Vet to have ring worm? The treatment of diagnosed ring worm in cats is an ORAL anti-fungal medications and/or Lyme sulfur dips. I do not recommend using an ointment that Candy could lick off her fur and ingest. Lyme sulfur dips can be found at a Veterinary hospital or online. I hope this helps and good luck!

40-50day old kitten.Had fungal infection on birth.So there was no much hairs. So Scavon spray is being done.Now hairs r growing up. Is she ready to take bath? How to make his bath?
In general cats do not need baths unless they are extremely dirty, which is very very rare, from the picture i do not see any reason to bath her, just continue the treatment until the fungal infection is resolved and you will see that her fur becomes very healthy and clean.

Can I use Nystation Cream USP on my cat for ringworm?
Nystatin can be used but since it is a prescription medication for, you should check with your veterinarian before giving or applying any medications to or on your pet. An e-collar (cone) should be in place to prevent licking/ingestion which could cause GI upset.

Yes, neem leaf tea is safe to use for budgies as a bath or mist. You should have Nobita examined by your veterinarian to rule out or diagnose mites or skin infection, then clean and sanitize the cage, bowls, toys and perches. Discard anything that cannot be sanitized.

How to stop fungal infection in cats
Most of these cats will respond to local treatment. It must be a medication indicated for pets since the cat may in just the medication. There are also medicated dips and systemic medications as well. Since the areas on the eye, if you treat topically, Angel will need to wear an Elizabethan collar at all times to protect the medication from being wiped away. It's called ringworm, and you need a prescription oral anti-fungal medication to treat it. Topical medications do not work on cats because Microsporum canis (fungal organism causing ringworm) is spread diffusely throughout a cat's entire hair coat, such that an isolated topical spray will not cover all surfaces of every hair, and lead to frequent recurrence. I would have Rooroo seen by a vet.
