Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 6 months old | 8 lbs
My 1yr old cat is leaving little pea size pellets of poo around. She seems unaware most of the time that she's doing this. Mostly they seem dry but a couple have been moist looking. Also she's been cleaning her bottom more often, as if there's some discomfort. Otherwise she seems healthy, with a normal appetite etc. I often find them when she gets up from sleeping or just relaxing. She's a shorthair, and I can see that she is keeping herself clean and these are not dropped off her fur or such.

Thats seem like an odd presentation for a one year old cat like Leia. I would first make sure she is not dragging the stool out of the letterbox (on her fur) somehow and thats what you are finding. If thats not the case then I think about either a medical issue such as a nerve disorder (which is uncommon) or a behavioral issue (purposefully not using the litter box). To know which one, you would have to actually see Leia do it. It the fecal material is truly coming out and she is not aware of it, then I think a trip to the neurologist is needed as this is not normal. The neurologist may be able to determine the cause of the nerve disorder and may be able to recommend treatment (if one is available but thats not a guarantee). Best o luck with little Leia!
