My pet's ear is dirty and shaking head, cleaning isn't working.

Hello doctor! My lil baby has been shaking his head for a while. When I checked his ear (right), it was so dirty. I took him to the vet and asked if it were the cause of ear mites. But no ear mite. He gave me the ear cleaning solution. So I’ve been using about a week but his ear is still dirty... I forgot to clean yesterday, and it was already covered with that ear wax or whatever. What kind of test would I have to ask for :’( ? Thank you ...

Hello, sorry to hear about Ennead. He could be having an ear infection due to bacteria or yeast. Even though he doesn’t have any evidence of ear mites, he may still have ear mites. If he is not getting better, you should have him rechecked as he may need more medications to treat his ear infection Hope this helps and best of luck!
