My dog has a red line near her vulva and anus. Why is she uncomfortable?

My dog has a red line between her anus and vulva I don't think has ever been there, she is very uncomfortable when touched in the area. Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 5 days old | 35 lbs

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The red line is odd but it appears to be normal in Bella. I think it may look more prominent because it appears as though Bella might be in heat or coming in to heat? Her vulva is quite large, which may be making that line more obvious. If she is in or coming in to heat, touching that area is likely going to be uncomfortable or cause a reaction. I hope this helps!
