Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 3 years and 5 months old | 32 lbs
My dog, Lulu, is a basset hound and blue heeler mix. We switched her food last week to one that included fish, and over the past few days her eyes have been swollen and red and running yellow slime. Yesterday we switched her food back to something with chicken that we think she should be okay with, and I cleaned her bowls. I also gave her benadryl which seemed to help. How long until I should expect the swelling to go away? Am I doing everything I should be doing?

Food sensitivities can take 4-6weeks to resolve but the sudden swelling should reduce within 3days if this is indeed the cause. If not resolving or she develops any pain or breathing difficulties you should have her assessed urgently
