Why is my dog spitting up bile and not eating after medicine?

My dog went to his vet yesterday because he wasn't eating and had a cough. The vet gave him a medicine it seems to have helped with the cough but now he's spitting up bile and I think it's from the medicine and he's not eating again do you know what's wrong? Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 24 days old | 3 lbs

Poor Buddy! It is difficult to know the cause without examining him and knowing the medications he is taking. If he is taking an antibiotic then he could have an upset stomach from the antibiotic. You should call your vet and give him/her an update as your vet may need to change medications. You could also add a probioitc to his diet and see if that helps. It would also be a good idea to have a stool sample tested for parasites to make sure he doesn't have an intestinal parasite causing the problem. Hope he feels better soon!
