My kitten has parasites & bites. Is he in pain? Are they contagious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 month and 17 days old | 10 lbs

so my kitten is about 2month and I found parasites in his poop 2 days ago and he's been biting my blanket and my hands badly (like he mean it) . Is there any chance he has stomach ache or any pain? and should I be concern about my health, like I might get those parasites too?

Hi there and thanks for posting! Yes, intestinal parasites can cause stomach upset which can cause discomfort and may lead to the biting behavior. However, biting objects like blankets while teething is not uncommon. Yes, intestinal parasites can be transmissible to humans through the fecal-oral route. I would have nAna's stool tested for parasites soon at your veterinarian's office to see what parasite is the culprit. Wash your hands after handling his feces or handling cleaning the litter box to be on the safe side. I hope you are able to get him into see a veterinarian soon! Best wishes!
