Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Male | unneutered | 95 lbs
Our 6 month old Great Dane woke up in the middle of the night crying out and appearing to be in abdominal pain. He peed find and had pooped fine just before going to bed. Only change we can think of to his lifestyle lately is he started going to the dog park, and he drinks water there with the other dogs. He’s having short urgent whimpers when he moves. Reminiscent of when he had swallowed a sharp 2” stick and it passed all the way through his system. Any advice?

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Ragnar (LOVE the name, I am a Vikings fan!) He could be sore from playing during the day or he could be having abdominal cramping from gas. He could start to vomit or have diarrhea. I would get him up and take him outside to see what he will do. If the whimpering and restless continues I would take him to an Emergency hospital now instead of waiting for your Vet to open. I hope this helps and I wish Ragnar the best!
