My dog takes prednisone and has trouble urinating. Is it a UTI?

Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 11 months and 25 days old

My 10 month bulldog has been on predinisone along time. Don't think he still needs it. Anyway, his urine flow is barely there. He is belly down a long time with trickling. Should i stop predinisone? Vet gave him predinisone months ago because he had h.o.d. I could not afford the vet after about $7,000. I keep giving him 3mg a day of predinisone prescribed to me. Could predinisone be causing u.t.i.?

Yes, prednisone can cause UTI, he will need an antibiotic course to clear the infection, stopping the prednisone alone won't solve the infection. prednisone should never be stopped at once, it should be tapered off slowly, you will need to consult your vet for this.
