It is not recommended to give vitamins and supplements to a puppy. Lilo should only be getting a puppy formulated dog food, which will provide her with all the supplements and vitamins she needs to grow properly. Giving her too many can cause toxicity as well as adversely affect her growth. I hope this helps!

A balance and complete nutrition would be enough to avoid any vitamin supplementation. I would recommend a good quality commercial diet for puppies in her case. You can feed her 3 times daily up to 6 months.

I have a 5 months old golden retriever. Right now I am giving him royal canin golden retriever junior along with around 10-ml multivitamin and around 15-ml calcium supplements. Is that okay?
No, I would not give Milo multi-vitamins of calcium supplements. While puppies do need higher amounts of protein, calcium, and calories than adult dogs, their puppy formulated food will provide that for him. It's never recommend to give puppies multivitamins and extra calcium as that can have detrimental effects on their growth, especially excess calcium. Stop giving Milo this supplements now, and be sure to feed him a high quality large breed puppy formulated food such as Royal Canin.

Puppies should never get multivitamins. They don't need it, and you run the risk of overdosing them on certain vitamins. As long as Koda is getting a puppy formulated food, he is getting all the vitamins he needs.

It is not recommended to give puppies any multivitamins. That is because this can lead to giving him too many vitamins, thus have adverse affects on his growth. I would feed Akki a puppy formulated food, which will provide him will all the nutrients and vitamins he needs to grow.

I usually give ghontu royal canin for Golden Retrievers twice a day and homemade food once. I am also giving her 10 ml.of mybeau supplement once per day. Is giving supplements wrong for pups at this age.Can you please suggest if I should continue fee
Puppies at this age should not be given supplements, as too many vitamins and too much calcium is detrimental to her health and growth. She will be getting all the nutrients she needs from her Royal Canin, which is an excellent puppy food. I would continue feeding her the Royal Canin puppy food, and not give her the homemade diet. The only food she needs is her puppy food, and the homemade diet may make her gain too much weight. You can start giving her the MyBeau supplements when she is a year old and eating an adult food.

Great questions! L needs a puppy formulated food, and brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. No supplements are needed, the puppy food will provide everything he needs.
