My dog just had puppies and has diarrhea with a red rear. What to do?

my dam just recently gave birth, i noticed she's having diarrhea for a couple of days now and her perianal region is reddish. what should i do?

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Justice! I would start her on a bland diet of boiled chicken or hamburger with rice. It could be the puppy food she is eating. You can consider starting a probiotic, I like Purina Fortiflora. If the diarrhea doesn't improve I recommend taking her to the Vet or calling them to see what they recommend. As for the skin, I recommend shaving the fur away and cleaning and drying the skin well multiple times a day. You can apply a topical antibiotic cream like neosporin twice daily.
