My dog has worms. Why repeat deworming treatment in 2 weeks?

Hi I was just wondering why I have to deworm my dog in 2 weeks with drontal but I dont have to do that with dolpac and the dogs do have worms thanks. Should they be dewormed again in 2 weeks with dolpac. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 72 lbs

It depends which type of worms Kia is suffering from, for tapeworms one treatment is enough, for roundworms you need to repeat the treatment 2 weeks after the first one. the reason is the treatment for roundworms does not kill the eggs.
