Hello, & thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. The usual dose of Clavamox is about 13.75 mg/kg every 12 hours. For an anal gland infection, 125 mg every 12 hours is perfectly appropriate. Hopefully, Tiny will be well soon. Take care.

The recommended oral dosage of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid per kg of body weight is 6.25 mg twice daily. That translates to 185 mg per dose, the volume will depend on the milligrams per milliliter concentration. If your Clavamox is 50 mg/ml that is 3.7ml per dose.

three quarters of a tablet every 12 hours would be appropriate. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.
