What should I do about a white skin bump under my senior dog's arm?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 8 years and 5 months old | 20 lbs

Our 8 1/2 year old dog has a white spot under his arm. About the size of a tag but flatter. Groomer said today the spot might have a sticker in it. What should we do with this white skin bump.

You may not need to do anything about it. It could simply be a benign tumor and it won't need to be removed unless it's bothering Beau or becomes bigger. I would have it checked out by a vet to be safe, as there is always a chance any bump could be a malignant tumor in a senior dog. I would have him seen by a vet sometime over the next week. I hope this helps!
