My kitten has crusty ears. Should I worry or can I fix it myself?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 7 lbs

Hi I noticed my young kitten has theese wierd crusty bits on her ear area. It might be from playing with her brother since they're both rowdy, but I wanted to check if it looked like anything serious? Should I take her to the vet? Is there something I can do at home to clear it up? Her behaviour is normal

Hello. It looks like Beans may have a parasitic or bacterial infection from the look of the photos. It could also be from playing with your cat but I would take him in to be sure because infections can spread and be uncomfortable. Hope that helps and best to you and Beans!
