My 6-month puppy has Lyme. Can he take meds and eat raw food?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 12 days old | 45 lbs

Can I give my 6 month old puppy, droxcycline and drontal plus in the same day? Also would it better to start him on a raw diet or no? He's only 6 months old and he has Lymes disease I just want him to feel better and feel like he can run around like a puppy should be.

Hello, yes Booth can have both at the same time. I would recommend feeding him a canned or dry food diet. Raw diets can often contain infectious organisms which could lead him to feel unwell. If he is still not feeling well, then he should be evaluated by your veterinarian again. Hope this helps and best of luck
