Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Male | neutered | 7 years and 5 months old | 25.6 lbs
7.5 year old dashcund chihuahua mix male neutered. Having ear issues; very red sometimes, increasingly itchy and dirty, cleaned them Friday then yesterday they were really yucky again, black and brown gunk some chunky, they seem to actually be making him "suffer" to an extent. Anything OTC I can do try and help before choosing to make a vet visit?

It sounds like Blaze is pretty uncomfortable. I think it is fine to use a cotton ball and apple cider vinegar to clean the debris, but I would recommend scheduling an appointment with a veterinarian soon. Ear infections don’t tend to resolve on their own. In fact, they can be kind of frustrating to resolve sometimes. The longer the infection has been going on the harder to clear it up. Good luck and I hope he improves soon.
