Pet's info: Dog | Bichon Frise | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 10 months old | 9 lbs
I have a 2y/o Bichon frise x poodle, she had an ear infection when younger and had prescribed ear drops for that. Now every night she wakes us up scratching her ears, rubbing her ears on the floor, panting excessively and shaking her head. She also does this during the day and sometimes cuts her ears(very often she cries from scratching). We clean her ears every 2-3 days and they always smell bad and are very dirty.

Hi. It does sound like Piper has another ear infection and the cleaning may not be enough to kill what's causing the infection. Ear infections are usually caused by yeast or bacteria. There's also a chance there may be something like a grasss seed stuck in her ear. I would recommend getting her to your veterinarian whenever you have a chance so they can prescribed the appropriate medications to kill whatever is in there. She may also have underlying allergies so if her ears don't clear up after treatment that would be something also to consider addressing with your veterinarian.
