My dog has brownish-red bumps on neck. What are they and how to treat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 2 years and 7 months old | 7 lbs

I’ve just noticed these raised brownish-red bumps around my dog’s neck. What might these be, and what can I do to treat them?

They look like scratches, that are trying to heal. I would check the ears to make sure there is no wax or infection causes any irritation to scratch in that area. You can place neosporin on the scabs to help dry then up. If they do it GI away after a few days or get worse then I would see your vet
