My Chihuahua has a dry cough. Are there affordable alternatives?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 6 years and 1 month old | 10 lbs

my chiwawa? (sp.?) has a dry cough...allergies...eating well, happy...my vet put her on expensive narcotics. Must be something else. Can't afford it.

There are other options for chronic coughing. You may want to discuss antihistamines and or cough tablets (non-narcotic) with your veterinarian. Narcotics do work very well for suppressing cough, and sometimes they are one of the only medications that make a big difference, but discussing and trying other options isn worthwhile.
