My senior dog with CHF has slimy diarrhea & cough. Is it an emergency?

My 12 year old wire haired fox terrier is in CHF, confirmed by her vet. Today she started having diarrhea that is yellowish, and very slimy. She also has coughed a couple times when resting. I can't get her into the vet today because they have no openings. She is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Should I wait or take her to the emergency at vet? Pet's info: Dog | Wire Fox Terrier | Female | spayed | 12 years and 8 months old | 12 lbs

You didn't mention if she is on heart medicaiton currently or not; however, I would either take her to your ER vet or to your regular vet as a walk in emergency appt. Spunky sounds unstable and should be looked over by a vet right away. They may be able to help stabilize her condition. Best of luck to you both. Take care.
