I gave my dog advocate two weeks ago which does not cover ticks and we are going away in a couple of days to an area that may have ticks, is it ok to give him frontline?

Yes, it is perfectly fine to give Dave a dose of Frontline 2 weeks after Advocate. Other options also include K9 Advantix II, Nexgard, Bravecto, or Seresto, although I'm not positive if these medications are available in the UK. Enjoy your trip!
