Why is my older ferret losing hair, stiff, wobbly, and losing weight?

Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Female | spayed | 7 years and 9 months old | 2 lbs

I dont knnow old she is aa t leaasdt 6 yrs. She lost wt but it has leveled out she is losing hair aroun Butt & tail,she looks stiff and wobbly good apitite still. We got her a roomte this when vit started sorta. We love her so much Please help

I am sorry Alice is not feeling well. With her being an older ferret I would recommend taking her to a vet for some basic blood work and an exam. Older ferrets can get adrenal disease which can cause hair loss but typically they gain weight. However, infection, virus, cancers, kidney disease and even gastric upset can cause weight loss and abnormal behavior. I really think she needs some testing and good exam to help point you in the right direction. I hope she feels better soon
