My dog and I are very close, he follows me everywhere. I left for a night and my mom told me he was playing but he was also waiting by the door for me, he got sick the day after (he didn't pooped for 2 days) I have to leave for 5 months and I was wondering if my dog can get sick If I leave him for that long. My 3 siblings that love him and my parents are staying with him. Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Male | neutered | 4 years and 3 months old | 5 lbs

I am sorry to hear about Olly! Pets can sometimes become depressed when their owners or friends leave. I wouldn't expect him to become sick though.
