Why is my dog throwing up and acting lethargic in her crate?

My Dog Throwed up last night and stayed in her crate practically all day what would her wrong with her?

Poor Chloe! She could have an infection, parasite, pancreatitis, upset stomach from something she ate, obstruction, etc. If she seems lethargic and is not eating then she should be examined by a vet for treatment. Your vet can run some lab tests to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. She may need some fluids to prevent dehydration, anti-vomiting medications, antibiotic, and a gastric protectant. Hope she feels better soon!

    I would recommend taking her to a vet for evaluating. If she is vomiting and lethargic that could indicate something serious. Boxers can be a breed l own to bloat or get GDV. It could also be toxin or GI obstruction. Please have Ellie evaluated asap. I hope she feels better soon. Thank you for using Pet coach.

I would have Chloe seen by a vet. I'm not sure if she is vaccinated or not, but if she isn't, her vomiting could be due to parvovirus. This is an often fatal infection of young unvaccinated puppies of which there is no cure. Her vomiting and anorexia could also be due to GI illness, eating something rotten, or a foreign body. I would take Chloe into a vet immediately to diagnose what is causing her symptoms so she can be treated.

Hi Zoey hasn't ate any of her dog food and at all yesterday and i still cant grt her to eat her dog food this morning but last night I just gave her a half of a hot dog and she ate that but she wont eat her dog food and this morning she threw up some
Poor girl. Zoey sounds like she has some internal illness going on here. A number of diseases can cause the symptoms she is displaying (vomiting, decreased appetite, lethargy) such as kidney disease, gallbladder disease or an infection. I would highly recommend taking her to your vet at this point for testing so that we can identify the underlying problem so that we know how best to help her moving forward. My Puppy/dog has not being her self today she is eating all she wants to do is sleep in her crate a lot what is wrong with her?
Chloe could have an off day. If she is eating, drinking and has normal stool but wants to sleep a lot, you could let her rest and reassess in a few hours. She may have played a lot yesterday, more than usual and just need a little rest. On the other hand, if her appetite is not as good as usual, she vomits or has diarrhea I would suggest you take her to the vet . She could have a fever, a viral disease or low blood sugar for example. If Chloe is not up-to-date on vaccines, I would be a little more concerned,especially if her appetite is not as good as usual. My dog threw up a lot just now. I put her in her crate to rest like normal but she is screaming and yelping. Does she just want out or could something be wrong?

My dog is laying around and just threw up once. And it just started today.
It sounds like Princess is unwell. She could have a GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. I see that she is unspayed, and an infection of the uterus called a pyometra occurs in unspayed dogs and causes these symptoms. For now, I recommend monitoring her. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, and then feed her boiled white meat chicken and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. If she keeps that down, you can slowly add back in her normal diet. Monitor her closely for signs of a pyometra, such as more vomiting, her belly becoming swelling, extreme lethargy, and discharge from her vagina. You can also take her temperature to monitor for fever, which would be above 102.5F. If you see any of those signs I mentioned above, take her into a vet immediately. In addition, if the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomiting the bland diet, she develops diarrhea, she stops drinking water and start vomiting water, or she be

my dog is very lathargic, shakes, hangs her head down either while walking or lying down, vomiting, not eating or drinking, and not active and wants to be alone. I dont know whats wrong with her or what to do. Please help!
Hi there. I am sorry to hear that Chloe is not feeling well. The lethargy, shaking or trembling, being withdrawn, and hanging her head down certainly can indicate that she is in pain or discomfort somewhere. Not eating or drinking can also by a sign of pain or that there is a problem with her intestinal tract or other systems in her body. All of these signs do not point to one specific problem, however, they do tell us that Chloe is definitely ill. A good physical exam and most likely some tests from Chloe's veterinarian will help sort out the problem for her and hopefully get her feeling better soon. Best of luck to Chloe!

My puppy hasn't eaten in mire than 36 hours. She keeps throwing up. The vet gave her IV fluids and metrogyl solution via the IV almost 12 hours ago. She still keeps throwing up. And she is still weak. What do I do? What do yhe symptoms indicate
Poor Lexi! She could have an infection (parvo virus, etc.), parasite, intussusception, etc. . Your vet can test a stool sample and take an x-ray, if needed, to help diagnose the problem. She should probably be hospitalized on IV fluids until the vomiting stops. She may need an anti-vomiting medication, like Cerenia to help control the vomiting. Hope she feels better soon!

Hello, sorry to hear about Chloe. Most common causes of diarrhea and vomiting may include a dietary indiscretion, inflammatory bowel disease, parasites and viral infections. Other causes may include liver, kidney, pancreatic, or Addison's disease. You can continue to feed her the pedialyte and offer a bland diet of plain white rice, skinless and boneless boiled chicken, and cottage cheese low fat for 3-5 days. Ultimately, if this does not improve, Chloe may need to be evaluated by a veterinarian to assess for any of the above conditions and administer the appropriate medications. Since Gracie is listless, she should be examined by a vet for treatment. She could have an infection or parasite and your vet can run lab-work to determine the cause.
