Can glucosamine harm my dog's liver or kidneys if they have arthritis?

Pet's info: Dog | Dalmatian | Female | unspayed | 9 years and 10 months old | 38 lbs

My dog has been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis The medicine for Osteoarthritis contains glucosamine 500mg chondroitin 400mg and msm 400mg in one capsule. She also has kidney (stage 3) and liver problem. So will this glucosamine chondroitin and msm damage liver and kidney?

I'm so sorry that Mary has so many health problems. There is no problem giving glucosamine, chondroitin or MSM to a dog with liver and kidney problems. They are very safe products. I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
