Why does my dog get short seizures when running or out of breath?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 16 years and 10 months old | 20 lbs

What can I do, my dog has been getting seizures when she runs or out of breath but it happens very easily if she ran around for less than minute, the seizures are only lasting less than a minute

I am concerned this may be syncope, or collapse due to poor circulation very common in older figs with heart disease. An urgent vet check and assessment for medication is required, keep strictly rested in the meantime
