My cat's chin burst, leaking blood and pus. Is it serious?

My cat just had a spot burst under his chin, leaking blood and pus. I hadn't noticed a lump before but have been out of town for 3 days.

It looks like Kilo has a ruptured abscess. In the location under the chin it could potentially be a tooth root abscess. I would encourage you to have him evaluated by a veterinarian. He likely needs antibiotics. If it does look associated with a tooth they may also recommend extraction of the tooth at a later date. Good luck and I hope he improves quickly!
